This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted for legal consultation services booked through the Pak Wakeels platform. We strive to ensure client satisfaction while maintaining fairness to our lawyers.
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 Client-Initiated Cancellations
More than 24 hours before consultation: 100% refund minus processing fees
12-24 hours before consultation: 50% refund
Less than 12 hours before consultation: No refund (except in emergency situations)
2.2 Lawyer-Initiated Cancellations
If a lawyer cancels a consultation for any reason, clients are entitled to a 100% refund or the option to reschedule with the same lawyer or another lawyer of similar expertise.
2.3 Technical Issues
If technical problems on our platform prevent a consultation from taking place, clients are entitled to a full refund or free rescheduling.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:
- Client no-shows (failure to attend scheduled consultation)
- Consultation completed as scheduled
- Client dissatisfaction with legal advice received (unless due to lawyer misconduct)
- Changes in client's legal needs after booking
- Consultations cancelled less than 12 hours in advance (except emergencies)
4. Emergency Cancellations
We understand that genuine emergencies may occur. In such cases, we may provide partial or full refunds at our discretion. Emergency situations include:
- Medical emergencies
- Natural disasters
- Death in the family
- Other circumstances beyond reasonable control
Documentation may be required to verify emergency situations.
5. Service Quality Issues
5.1 Lawyer Misconduct:
If a lawyer behaves unprofessionally or violates our code of conduct, clients may be entitled to a full refund.
5.2 Inadequate Service:
If a consultation is significantly shorter than the booked duration without valid reason, a partial refund may be provided.
5.3 Misrepresentation:
If a lawyer's qualifications or expertise were misrepresented on our platform, clients may be entitled to a refund.
6. Refund Process
6.1 Request Submission:
Refund requests must be submitted through our platform or by contacting customer support within 7 days of the scheduled consultation.
6.2 Review Process:
All refund requests are reviewed by our customer service team within 3-5 business days.
6.3 Processing Time:
Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and will be credited to the original payment method.
6.4 Notification:
Clients will be notified via email regarding the status of their refund request.
7. Platform Fees
Platform service fees (typically 2-5% of consultation fee) and payment processing fees may be deducted from refunds, except in cases where the cancellation was due to lawyer fault or platform technical issues.
8. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with our refund decision, you may appeal the decision by providing additional information or documentation. Appeals are reviewed by our senior management team within 7 business days.
9. Rescheduling Option
In many cases, rescheduling may be a better option than cancellation. We offer free rescheduling up to 6 hours before the scheduled consultation time, subject to lawyer availability.
10. Credit Alternative
Instead of a refund, clients may opt to receive platform credit equal to the consultation fee. Platform credits do not expire and can be used for future consultations.
